ripper, I was thirty plus some paper money.  When I got mine done it was over $5000.  It's come down a lot.  I'd worn glasses since I was 6 and contacts for YEARS.  I actually had to not wear contacts for a year before I could get it done.  My corneas were very damaged from them and they couldn't do it.  It was worth every penny twice just to see clearly for the length of time I did.  (I had no idea you could actually SEE leaves on trees....even with glasses or contacts, I had never seen things so sharp and crisp before)

purelife......Dr. Lin taught others the lasik 'surgery'.  You simply won't find anyone better.  It's painless.  The most difficult part is being still.....that's not so bad.

How long was the procedure?  Did you experience any after effects?  ie. not being able to see in the dark?  glows in the dark?  I'm still very scared because my power is really high.

The procedure was about 20 minutes.  I did have some pain afterward, only because I didn't use the drops when I should have.  Once I did, it was smooth sailing.  You have to wear eyepatches to bed the first few nights, just to protect your eyes while you sleep.  Other than that......no after affects except the marvel of being able to see clearly.  I watched TV the evening I had it done WITH NO CONTACTS OR GLASSES. It was amazing.  My power was really high also.  Apparently they have more total success with a large correction, than they do with a minor correction.[/DIV]

The Penitent

To be human is to suffer weakness.
At times my spirit falters when I think of the multitude who shall fall to the Great Whale's dark embrace and never taste the sweet joy of paradise. Yet I persist in my faith, and it nourishes me. For was it not written, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard-seed ye shall say unto the mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove?

P.C.

I'm wondering exactly where that was written.  Are you making that part up ?
