LOL  I take it you have two monitors?

purelife

I think they're trying to make me fatter because now, I don't have to get up to the copier to scan.  :P

And now, who wants to leave your desk with one of those wide monitors?  Do you know what kind of videos I could watch on a 22/20" monitor?!

purelife

and eat poutine instead of popcorn, right?

I don't understand how males can become an OBGYN.  *shivers*  I have to see one in a few weeks and am not looking forward to it.  And I have no choice because he was a referral.

I've never had a female doc.

If you're going to a male OBGYN for plumbing issues.....they know it as well as any.  If you're looking for someone to understand the science of hormones.....they can know it as well as any.  If you're after someone who has a first hand knowledge of what you experience as a result of the effects of hormones....they can't get it......but they are equally as capable of being understanding and/or compassionate (or not) as well as any.

I hope you're right about this OBGYN.  It's different for me to hear that a guy is an OBGYN because I was raised to think it's a women's profession.  I know...times have changed.

I have a male doctor and surprisingly am comfortable with him, which is good.

I think on the contrary, the ratio of male to female doctors has always been greater on the male side.  Only within the last couple decades are female docs on the upswing.  (I don't know this as a fact...just my experience)

I've seen quite a few obgyn's and they were all female and they were great.  I just hope he's good too.

When I was in Sry Memorial, I was surprised to know that a male doctor needed a prescense of a nurse during his internal examination on me.  It was funny when he announced what he was doing and that he was wearing gloves.

Yes....that's true purelife.....but 20 years ago, there were far less female obgyn's than males.

(You thought it was odd that he was wearing gloves ?   I would thing it extremely odd if he weren't......so much so, that I'm sure I would leave.)
