I received a Letter from my advocate. My Disability has been approved. Tomorrow I go in to see just what that entails for my finances & dietary needs. No more drinking tap water but I can get the distilled water again this time paid for by the government it means I will be able to start paying back my creditors a little bit every month.

I do not know just just what a person with disability is allowed to get. I know I can apply for a yearly buss pass now, I have had the disability tax credit since 2009 but now I can have a home care worker to assist me. I can get a tub transfer bench & have safety rails installed so I no longer need fear taking another fall while trying to get in or out of the tub anymore. I can finally get a parking pass from Sparc to use while shopping I will be able to use the handicapped parking spaces allowing for easier access into & out of a shopping center thus making pain management a little easier.

I can get dietary supplements paid for now such as the Vitamins & Iron supplements to deal with my anemia. I will also get a card for BC Ferries that gives my attendant  50% off the cost of travel, it will also mean closer parking to the elevators and in-case of an emergency a crew person will know what seat I am in if there comes a need to abandon-ship.

I guess I will find out what else I am entitled to. Months & months of fighting to get my disability they approved it 3 days after cheque issue so they would not have to give me a full check for 772 but so they would only have to give me a check for 610 but I will appeal that with my advocate & see if I can get more.

I can relax a little & stop feeling overwhelmed I can now apply for & get a home care nurse I can apply for assisted housing so when my health fails me I will no longer have to worry no one will find out I am dead until after my body has begun the serious stench of decomposing.

  Awesome news, Orik!  I knew things would work out for you soon.  

  I found out that I'm pregnant again.  This news came as a surprise and we were shocked!  We haven't told many about it.  I wasn't going to keep this one at first but have changed my mind.  We did eventually want another one, but years later.  Oh well, if this one is meant to be, then it'll come.

  For the people here who are my facebook friends, please do not post on my wall.  I'm fine with private messages.  I don't plan to announce anything until much much later.  This pregnancy may not even go through considering my prior history of early miscarriages.
