I've never cooked a turkey.  Both mom and mother-in-law cook it the traditional roasted way (no brining).  Mom stuffs the turkey and mother-in-law uses Stove Top.  Aunt marinates the bird in soy, hoisin and spices, roasts it with no stuffing.

Here's one for tomorrow then.  You came across a sweet old lady struggling in the snow, and you helped her to her destination as you were so worried and concerned for her well being.  How could anyone NOT help.  [img onclick="selecte('biggrin.gif');" alt=emoticon src="vny!://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/blehnet/biggrin.gif" border=0]

I bought a set of 4 beautiful blown glass Christmas ornaments for a gift....which I was just wrapping.....and I broke 3 of them.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/traurig/a010.gif" border=0]

Lil Me:  I'm not into brining my turkey, I don't like to use too much salt on my food.  I find the best way to have a great moist turkey is to buy a fresh turkey rather then frozen they are always moist. :)

Russ

Ive stuffed the turkey and for covering it, I cover it in olive oil then sprinkle montreal seasoning.

Ive only brined a turkey if I deep fryed

The owner of the van we damaged last month (Jeckyl opening car door into the side of a van) called.  He said not to worry about it....he took care of everything and doesn't want any money.

Sound like everyone had an eventful day.

Sawdust and I ventured to Nanaimo.  An hour and a half for the usual 20 - 25 minute drive.  A half an hour from the Woodgrove parking lot to the parking lot across the street ? ....a half an hour.  I have never seen such volume at Christmas time with NO snow.

Since we got home at 7, we have about 8 inches more new snow.....and a blizzard warning.   Snow is still coming down heavily and the lounge roof is leaking like a sieve.  Had to back out of our usual route home and try an alternate route as we couldn't make it up the hill.

  Dirty martini please ?

Interesting day. Spent the day going through my books of the past couple of years. Started reading old books read one of my social anthropology chapter books from last year. Picked up a Vancouver Planning book that the UBC graduate planning students have to read, a book I've had for 2 years now. lol

I've got to clean out my ever growing 'library' it seems. As the 'library' aka antique desk piece is moving downstairs. Problem is I don't have anything to replace the shelves, I've got this side shelving in the basement but its too small. Heck, all my German lit novels would take up most of the space in that shelf. I've got 50-75 books at least.

So.... Looks like I'll need to get a new giant book shelf.

Oh started reading some stories we didn't cover in German Lit. lol

skimming mainly at this point, don't know what to read. Bah I should just pick something and read it.

Oh no PC. Is there too much snow on the roof? Is it getting to the point where you think you need to remove snow from the roof?
