lol Mt Seymour and Cypress are both provincial parks.  You don't pay anything unless you are skiing or using the x-country/snowshoe trails.  Can hike for free any day of year.

I'm just guessing here, but I'm thinking the same way you get anywhere else without a car.

Hafta pay to get to the top of Grouse Mountain (Gondola ride).
 
 Can take the city bus to the base of both Cypress and Seymour.  Not usually a problem hitching a ride during ski season, but there isn't a ton of traffic going up in the off-season.
 
 Also, the Seymour and Cypress run shuttle buses during ski season, for about $5.  I think the Cypress shuttle bus runs from the Park Royal Mall and the Seymour shuttle bus runs from A&W at Parkgate Village.

SD....didn't you have snow in Missouri ???  Our snow is similar to that snow, so similar footwear for Missouri snow would probably do the trick for our snow.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/froehlich/c020.gif" border=0]

There's not a ton of snow right now, so you could go in running shoes.  Michel said the snow depth is "top of the boot".
 
 If you want to go see snow, just wear the warmest clothing/shoes that you've got and don't sweat the details.

Well my boots are 6000km's away along with any sort of 'warm' clothes. lol

Yeah its still broken, but I ignore it. It's just a tiny bone in the foot, nothing serious.
