Talking about drop in real estate prices, its a shame how so many people, in the Bay Area, have been ruined in the past few months by their dreams of owning a home. Two years ago these people were waiting in line to buy tract houses for over $700K which for many were two hour commute drives from their work places. Today some of these same homes are worth less than $300K, and many of them have adjustable mortgages which they cannot make payment on now because rates have gone up
