Yes, $30. No, not 30 million or $30,000, but thirty bucks. Period.

[a href="vny!://www.imdb.com/title/tt0429277/"][em]Zyzzyx Road[/em][/a] cost approximately [a href="vny!://www.imdb.com/title/tt0429277/business"]$2 million to make[/a], but took just $30 at the box office. Devin Faraci over at [a href="vny!://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=8378"]CHUD.com[/a] first spotted this box office disaster, so we should credit him with tracking down the following information: It was in just one theater for just one week. The lucky theater in question was the [a href="vny!://www.regenttheaters.com/rentals.html#HPV"]Highland Village Park Theater[/a] in Dallas ,Texas. It opened on February 25th 2006, and closed six days later.[/p] Directed by John Penney, the unpronounceable film starred Katherine Heigl of [em]Grey's Anatomy[/em] fame, Tom Sizemore of Tom Sizemore fame and Leo Grillo. That last name should be a clue as [em]Zyzzyx Road[/em] was made by Leo Grillo Productions, a company set up to produce films for Grillo to star in.[/p] In fairness to Grillo and his movie, it seems the one week release was just [a href="vny!://www.imdb.com/title/tt0429277/companycredits"]Regent[/a] honoring their distribution deal in the smallest possible way. But that $30 total should ensure [em]Zyzzyx Road[/em] becomes a minor cult classic if and when it gets a DVD release.[/p]
