I think its a calculator.......how many times have a seen one pulled out at the table after dinner to figure out who had what and of course what tip to leave :)

Nice!!!...Perhaps I can try submitting a question.  I will note I have not looked at all the 240+ pages of the thread, so forgive me if you have seen this one before.

  A recent study says people who purchase more than 3 pairs of these a year...are more likely to have the qualities of a 'modern' leader...what is the purchase?

Strechedout hit the nail on the head right out of  the gate.  Running Shoes is the answer.

 Is it?  A leader knows to look his best at all times.  Shoes have to match the belt or whatever.  So those flashy runners don't always work.  You need dressy and casual, yet conservative runners too.  And if involved in different sports... tennis shoes, running shoes, wall climing shoes, cycling shoes.

  Shoes, even running shoes, have to look good.
