I hear ya Schade.  I like those ones too.  It's hard to come up with (or find) questions that aren't too vague, too abstract or obscure or just too simple. (or too googlable...lol)

Why don't people living near the north and south poles not get scurvy, historically?

i believe it has a lot to do with the eating of the livers pancreas and other internal organs of the fish and whales they ate... the blubber of the seal and the eye balls... these internal organs like the kidneys and liver held high quantity's of vitamin c
