Transparency International, which is an anti-corruption watchdog, has ranked Haiti at Nr. 1 of most corrupt countries.

The least corrupt countries OTOH rank as follows :
Finland
Iceland
New Zealand
Denmark
Singapore
Sweden
Switzerland
Norway
Australia
Netherlands
Obviously there is a link between corruption and poverty, as stated by TI's chairwoman, Huguette Labelle (corruption among officials as opposed to poverty among the population, as stated by myself, as needless to say there is no poverty at all among those countries' high-ranking officials).
In 71 of the countries which were studied, corruption was seen to be "rampant". Brazil, Tunisia and the US have worsened in this respect in the past year.
