You'll never be convinced with mere proof, so I'm not going to bother. You believe whatever you want.

This isn't 24. If this really happend like you are saying it did the truth would eventually come out.

And it will. But those of us with two eyes and a little common sense can tell what's going on right now. The story just doesn't wash. Do you really think the entire plane disintigrated into confetti? Why no scratch marks on the building where the wings should have hit? Why no damage to the lawn? It's utter bullshit, you just can't bring yourself to believe it because it's too sinister. So it just couldn't have happened that way, right??

If you go back to the footage that was played over and over again in the first couple days, each and every person interviewed said "It didn't sound like a plane...it sounded like a missile"  "I smelled cordite"

There was no cause at that point to make up stories.  The most credible witnesses of all, those who were there, have been told they didn't see what they're sure they saw, and they didn't smell what they know they smelled and they didn't hear what they know they heard.  Since when did this many eye witnesses get buried for their beliefs.

Oh well frankly it would shock me if that was the case. Frankly I don't care, because every single person in that administration is going to get punished one way or another.

It should shock you! Someday you'll look back on what you were told, and you'll be pissed off how the public was suckered and lied to.

Frankly I don't care, because every single person in that administration is going to get punished one way or another.
I doubt that very much. Bush has already been retroactively protected by law for any war crimes he may have committed. Karl Rove? Dick Cheney? I doubt very much anything will ever happen to them. Hell, Cheney can shoot a guy in the face with a shotgun and get off scot free. He'll never be punished.

I wasn't talking about punishment on earth.

Look, I know you want to believe in karma and the afterlife, but the truth is when you die, you just die. That's it, there's nothing afterwards. You die and you're gone, the end. Don't bet on anything coming afterwards, make your life what you can now because all that glorious life-after-death stuff just isn't true, okay?

There's no final retribution, no reckoning, no heaven, no hell. You die, and you go the same place the candle flame goes when it's snuffed out...no where. Stop buying into all this magical thinking. Really. Face facts.

fine. So then I'll never have inner peace with myself and be this miserable human being my entire life. Too tired to think right now anyway plus I've got to go work, shit.

Then I guess Its not worth living. If there's no point to this life.

Wow, I go to the neighbors for a birthday and I miss this frank discussion on semantics.

I agree SportsDude on the fact that life doesnt seem like worth living without something at the end of the rainbow, but thats where I agree with the borken. There is no afterlife, you fertilize some tree. Make the most of your life as this is all the time you will ever have, and do the best you can to help out your family for their future.

Well, the "inner-peace" part is up to you. No reason you can't have it if you want it, though.

Then I guess Its not worth living.

That's also something you need to decide for yourself, although I think it's worth living, even if just for the ice cream, sex, and pizza. (Not necessarily in that order.)

If there's no point to this life.

Why does there have to be a point?? Can't you just enjoy life, have some fun, do some good, and be happy with that? Why does there have to be some point to it all?

Look, none of us are going to make it out of this world alive, so relax. You don't wanna die all tensed up, do you?

Whoa, Sportsdude.  You took the most opposite message from that post that you could possibly take.  I think the message was to live life to it's fullest.....to make the best of everyday while you're here.[/DIV]
