When I checked a while ago the site was down due to a severe thunderstorm.   This morning between 5 and 7 was awesome with all the different animals. But it's after 10 P.M.  there now, so there wouldn't be much activity.

I got through to Africacam., but that's when I found out the site was down for the time being.

Kitten, where are you finding info on why the cam is down?  It opens in Windows Media Player for me, so of course there is nothing but connected or not connected.

It was around ten this morning that they posted it, and after that I've been getting the same thing you are.

Last time I saw it a bunch of cattle looking animals were drinking water. Pretty cool.

Have you tried to get it today? First thing this morning around 6 there were warthogs, and 3 giraffes and afterward those cattle-like creatures arrived.  It was so interesting that I hated to leave for work.

I've seen zebras, monkeys, wildebeests, an elephant, some kudus (or some kind of African antelope-ish animal) and some wild boars (?)

The first time there is a scuffle of any kind, I'll be done.

I read somewhere that the animals won't attack each other at a waterhole.  I've noticed that each group comes singly, and there were some smaller deer-like creatures at the water when they saw three elephants approaching.  They left immediately, and returned later.

Cool !  I wondered when I saw the elephant, why it was alone.  Is this normal?

I think so.  I thought that they always travel in groups, but if it was alone it might have lingered after the others were out of camera range.  I saw that with a zebra the other night.  The others had wandered back while she was still by the water, and then she stopped to graze.

The animals won't attack one another because they understand the mutual need for water.... at least in most cases. I think I saw that on the Discovery channel or something like that. But don't tell that to the crocodiles.
