I can't drive a manual at all. The stupid design is irritating. There's a manual and automatic option and they're on the same button. You shift left or right to get to either one. I keep getting the manual. Argh!! I'm gonna ruin this car one day.

Yes. That's the one. It feels like a mini tank. I'm afraid of driving this sucker, partly because it's new and my hubby's new toy and also partly it's a bit wider than what I'm used to.

Heck, I almost got myself into an accident the other day because I was driving so carefully and slowlllly. *nervous laugh*

Actually no, lol. Im used to the sound of diesels.. but also the newer dodges are pretty quiet compared to the older ones, and the interior of the cab is pretty soundproof. Its very impressive.

Its seriously not that loud. The Fords and GmC's are tons louder.

One of my trucks is manual, and the other is automatic.

Is it an actual standard with teh tree? Or is a shift kit design, where you paddle shift forward, then back for reverse?

They used to have dual standard and automatics with teh shift kit design back in the 70's. They were troublesome and they got rid of them. You could get them on high end european cars for years now however.
