Morning all! I had a most wonderful dinner last night. Made crab, noodles and prawns. Decided against a number of items because I was dead tired by the end of my preparation. Two hours in the kitchen is enough for me. I've taken some photos of the dishes and I'll load it up soon.

Lunch today will be with friends. Yippee!! Can't wait.

Hiya Lise and everyone else.  Oooo...lunch with friends, how lovely.  :)  *thumbs up*

I'm making shepard's pie tonight.  I hope that it turns out great.  I followed the layering thingee PC mentioned.  Thanks for your help, PC.  (Finally, making it tonight!)  I have it in the oven.  The top has to be brown, right?  And under the broiler?  That's what I'm going to assume for now.  :)

Other than that, today has been a relaxing day.

ADD:  I would LOVE to see your creations, Lise.  I'm looking forward to it.

awesome! Can't wait to see the creations from Lise Master Chef.

anyways I'm off to work out. hope I don't crash on the way there.  Last night I got stuck in the back up car and had to call for help from my dad to get me out. Told him I was a failure in this job, can't do anything right.

 Careful driving out there, SD.

ADD:  My shepard's pie turned out mushy and tasty.  :)

Ohhhh Lise....I can't wait to see pics.  It sounds divine.

purelife...I don't think you want the top brown.....maybe slightly golden.....lol   If you make little peaks with your potatoes, just the tips should be a little brown (just like the tips on a lemon merangue pie)  I usually grate a light layer of cheddar on top, and broil that until it's golden.  It helps keep the potatoes from drying out (and it tastes good too)

Holy Moly....My friends just called a while ago to say hey. (I'm looking after their kitties while they're away)  They were sitting on the beach nursing their sunburns while sipping Coronas......in Pismo Beach. *heavy sigh

They will be in Monterey tomorrow.  We told them of our trip down there last year, and off they went. *heavy sigh.......again.  (I wonder if I should have been more sympathetic about their sunburns)

ah just got back from working out. lovely.

I had Shepard's Pie at my favourite pub here and it was okay rather plan it was just meat and potatoes.  I guess you can add other things.  But the potatoes were crispy but they still looked like mashed potatoes.

Awwww..... looking after kittens is such a hard job.  Heck, I wish I was somewhere warm too where all you have to worry about is too much sun or what you're going to eat next.

Morning all on this dismal day!

I have a bit of sore throat, compliments of my kid. Geez. Wonder why do kids attract the worst bugs ever. Never seem to end.

Morning Lise.  Uh-oh......Lise....take care of yourself. :)

Lise

*sniff* Thanks, purelife.  How are you today? Did you go watch the lion dance?

Good morning

Bummer about the sore throat Lise.  I think you have to follow kids around with a hose and a bottle of bleach. [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/froehlich/d030.gif" border=0]

Ditto on being somewhere warm.  I was trying very hard not to be envious, and just be happy for them.  I only got it half right......I AM happy for them.......but I'm envious.

Late shift for me today.....9:30 start. POOP !  Gotta fly in 5 or 10 minutes.

  Anybody doing anything exciting today?

I'm doing good today, Lise.  I'm getting antsy because our apt. is in a mess terror!  Whenever my b/f gets into the mood of "drawing" and bringing out his artistic side, I CAN NOT walk around in the living room.  Papers, drawings, everywhere!  Oh boy.....

Nope, didn't watch it on tele or live.  You?  I remember back when I was in chinese school, it was manditory that we participated in the parade in Chinatown.  I remember getting paid (a few dollars) and brought candy.  LOL.

EDIT:  HI and BYE PC!  Have a lovely day at work.  :)

Lise

My bedsheets need to be changed. Isn't that exciting?

I have to do a bit of tax work for my dad-in-law, fight off this oncoming sorethroat and figure out what to make for dinner. That's as exciting as it gets.

  How about everyone?

Bedsheets?  Me too..  :(  Laundry tis a piling.

I had a couple of weird dreams last night and one of them involved this big monster chasing me up and down the ramp.  This monster was going to crush me alive, it was so freaking big.  In the end, I gave up and let him squash me.  It wasn't fun to know that you're going to die.  :(  What a dream!

Lise

Your BF draws? How lovely. Have you pose for him in the nude?  I've given up sketching my husband's face. I'm hopless at drawing people's faces.

I wanted to watch the lion dance but it got too late. My friend's luncheon took forever... I don't know why they insists on talking on and on. Lise Jr. was tired and sleepy by the end of it so we couldn't go watch. Kinda sad as I wanted to show her the lion dance. On the flip side, there's going to be one this coming Wednesday at Metrotown so I might head there. Not sure yet.

I'm retracting my opinion of Fish On Rice. Badddddd. I hate the manager there. So freaking rude. Two of our friends cancelled at the last minute and he booted us to a smaller table after we made ourselves comfortable. He wasn't nice too. I'm not going back there for a bit.
