I think they are pretty much same crap, different toilet?

I love it. For a music lover like me that loves the TV being off, it is a beautiful thing.

Classic rock, Jam On, Spectrum, Alt Nation, Underground Garage, Left of Center (they spell centre weird), even Hard Attack and Octane are sweet when I feel like banging my head.

Today they just added 90s Alternative! HEAVEN!

Sportsdude

I'm a news junkie.  I listen to Cross Country Check up every week lol I thought about calling in before wouldn't that be hysterical, Rex Murphy would be dumbfounded. lol

Waah!! At least you guys can listen to grown-up music. I have to contend with Barney and Elmo. Guess who wins in the end?

Bill Cosby.

LOL Lise! I have CK jr. brainwashed to listen to the Pixies and System of a Down....JOKING!

I never think to listen to CBC via satelite. I think about 10 min. of CBC is good enough for me. Yes, it is left. But it is also owned and operated by a government. How trustworthy is that? It is great to get 'that side' of things, but a little goes a loooong way. For me anyways.

Lise

So what does CK Jr. listens to nowadays? Don't tell me he listens to Justine Timberlake?

 GOD NO!!! *shudders*

He has not much music. Mostly stories on CD's. Disney mostly.

Sportsdude

hey since you guys are parents what do you do when something major in the world news wise is going on would you let your little ones watch it?

I love U2's "Pride" or "In the Name of Love". Good stuff.

I have a Disney Princess CD. Horrible. It gets to your head and the catchy songs won't go away. I knew a mother who insisted on playing nursery rhymes ALL DAY to her kids. I had to visit her house one day and she kept playing the same crap over and over again. By the end of the day, I was ready to scream my head off.

I don't let Lise Jr. know. She's much too young. She gets scared when she sees a dog on TV chasing a cat.

I am not sure sports? At his age, it would look like any other news maybe? good question. I know a lot of other parents seem to think I am mean to my kid for having such a limited TV time.

We do love movies though. It all comes back again to commercials. It is sucking our will to live!

Ah, well for me my parents let me watch that stuff. I don't think it did too much damage.  I did learn at a very young age that there is more out there in the world then where I live so I guess I can take some good out of seeing some of the things I saw.

But then again I have watched the news with my dad everyday since I was about 2.

Well, I can't really explain to Lise Jr. why some stuff on TV is happening... you know, like how do you explain war and famine and murder to a 2 year old? It's so hard. I'm not ready to go in that direction yet. Let her be a kid for awhile. There's ample time to grow up.
