And country music, some of it is Ok but the hyper-patriotic, reactionary tone that runs through a lot of it here in the states turns a lot of folks off, myself included. In Canada it's probably a different story, but down here country music is often associated with the south, racism, and the "my country right or wrong" attitude that leads to authoritarian shitbirds ending up in power and attempting to re-shape the world in their own image.
