You know that carrots are extremely high in sugar, Lise?  I've cut down on carrots because they're high in carbs and sugars.  I used to eat a whole bag full of carrots but was told to stop because of these reasons.

Costco is wonderful for all those bulk shopping.  Yeah, for convenience, juices ready made are the best.  My choice as well.

WHAT?!
Who's giving you this advice purelife?
The best thing to eat on a rainy day is carrots because of the vitamins they have. D I think. The same you get from being out in the sun.

Yeah, I know. Dietitian said that virtually all root veggies are loaded with starch which transform to sugar easily but since I'm cleared of diabetes, I can actually handle them.

Now if I can only do something about the taste......

Haven't shopped at Costco in eons. Don't know what to buy there seeing how everything comes in bulk size and we don't need that much.

Limited amount of Vit D in carrot. You get way more from milk.

Sorry Lise, I tend to talk in my own lingo that my circle of friends use.

GMC means my GMC truck (General Motors Corp), and AirScare is what we call Aircare.

Looks like this only my DD is blue:

a farce really, its sooooo easy to beat if your engine is halfway maintained and have the right equipment. that being said I didnt do anything to my truck that you should do beforehand I just wnet through. Like change the oil to remove the dirty oil which raises your hydrocarbons, retard your timing so you get a hotter burn in your combustion chambers which means a cleaner burn and less emissions, and put a litre of MethylHydrate into a half or qaurter tank of high octane gas (ie 94) to further raise your combustion temperature as much as possible. Always make sure your car is HOT and WARMED UP before going, preferably make a 100km/hr run for 20 minutes along a highway so your catalytic converter on your exhaust before your muffler is really hot. Once you get out go fill up with high octane gas to disperse the methylhydrate into a lower concentration in your tank, you dont want your car running that hot all the time.

Wow, Russ! You're like a mechanic! So we can come to you for questions?

Kindve a mechanic. I play around with engines and cars/trucks when Im at home as kindve a hobby. It is sort of work related as on the ships Im a jack of all trades with all the machinery and equipment onboard. The engine on the vessel is kindve the heartbeat of the ship so to speak, though different it does share some of the same characteristics.

I guess you could ask me if you have problems.. but if it does seem like too big of a job or too in depth for me Ill refer you where to go.. I go to some places to get things fixed checked out if its too complicated or im lazy.

Excellent. Good to know. I'm always clueless when it comes to cars. As in, insert key and go.

Can you recommend a good family car that sits seven or so? How about the Rav4 by Toyota? Is that good on gas? I must admit, that's a nice looking car but as scared about the size.

Im a fan of Toyota's having owned a number of them, but I dont know about a RAV4 (it doesnt seat 7 does it?). I know of a few people that have them and they havent had any problems that I have heard of. I did change a tire on a friends vehicle one time, and the jack that came with her RAV4 bent the first time it was used!

If you want a vehicle that has seating for 7 I would think about something like a minivan. The best is something like the Honda or Toyota one, but the best bang for the buck is still the first one on the market, the Dodge caravan. cheaper than the other two domestics, but still more reliable than the Chev or Ford.

The other option would be a Suburban, but then you are into big and a gas hog.

As much as I love fullsizes, the best for reliability, resale, and economic are imports ie Honda's, Toyota's, Mazda's, etc.

Lise

Wow. Thanks for the heads up, Russ. Interesting. I'm not really into minivans as such (I hate the image of the soccer mom) though. Would like one that can sit at least seven and doesn't have to be monster of a vehicle to drive.

  But thank ye kindly!
