While you're drooling I'm popping off to look at your message.

I just finished making a pot of turkey minestroni.  It smells wonderful.

May I ask a very personal question? When you're drooling (or dribbling OR salivating) do you wear a bib?

A deaf friend of mine had never heard the word minestrone, and always used to read it aloud as mine-strewn ( I always imagined little mines floating in the dish).

No, but I always have a box of tissues handy for these occasions.  I love your mental picture of minestrone.  That would add spice to the dish!

I can't see any mines.

Looks like it, but without the garnish on the top.

Hope everyone had a safe Labour Day weekend! Mine was spent camping in Jasper. Very sunny and warm too, even throughout the night.

Lunch today? I have no clue?? But I do have some watermelon for a snack!

kitten

Hi, CK.  Lunch?  I haven't even thought about breakfast yet!  Looks like you had a great weekend.

Good morning! Yeah, I am up pretty early. I like my mornings. I am usually up at around 5:30, I have about an hour to stretch, make a nice breakfast, coffee, paper, etc. before my boy wakes. (that's 4:30 Vancouver time). usually at work by 8.

kitten

I'm generally up by 5:30 too.  Must have my coffee before work.  Three 12 oz. mugs of j-ava holds me until I finish my first shift.

I'm not exactly impressed.  To me she's just another news anchor.
