Aww Lil_Me you have made me hungry and jealous, what you ate just sounds so good.....
I am happy you liked the lemonade recipe it has been around for a very long time. I like the concentrated lemon juice cause it is so inexpensive, while fresh lemons are a chore to get at times and a pain to squeeze.. If you are using fresh lemon juice, try it with only 3/4 of a cup sugar, to 7 cups water and 2 cups ice..
For Myself I like my lemonade just slightly sweet, but not to sweet. I find the fresh lemon and lime make a world of difference to the flavour. For me, it just gives a glass of lemonade a slightly tart bit of bite. While at the same time it is remaining sweet. Not to tart & not to sweet but just right, the perfect way to quench a thirst on a hot day..
I hope you get a chance to try it freshly made with at least, 1 added lime to give it a bit of a extra om-ff. I would make the fresh batch made more often, except it really. is just such a pain to juice the lemons.Maybe I should buy a juicer, but how does one justify the expense, when you do not use it often. I still make it the old fashioned way with a knife and a spoon, which is a real pain in the ass method for making lemon juice. So I choose to mostly use the concentrate lemon juice and add a couple of fresh ones just to get the lemon & lime wedges or slices... Every once in awhile I will make it all from scratch.
If it is not sweet enough you can always add more sugar.. and if not tart enough more lemon juice but then I recommend 2 table spoons at a time.. and taste test as you go. taste test with the table spoon. This my secret to making the perfect picture of lemonade. Yes it is a chore but I feel it is well worth it, cause once you find one that works best for you, you can continue to make it that way & stick to it for always having the perfect glass.
Damn I do type to much..
