Hi purelife

Must feel strange after being away for a while.  You'll pick it back up in no time, and it will feel like you never left.

Hahaha DDD,  I was going to say, you might reach a point when you'll wonder why you ever went back, but I was trying to stay upbeat.

I remember going back to work after my first, and when I would come home, I would get to hear about all her 'firsts'.  I decided that there was no way I was going to miss another, and I quit.  I was so envious of my sister-in-law who got to see them instead of me.

So far, I haven't missed any of his 'firsts.'  If I do, I told daddy to take a video of him.  If I didn't have to work, I would chose to stay at home.  So far, baby has been giving daddy a real hard time.  He screams/cries wanting his mommy and doesn't want to nap without putting up a HUGE fuss for daddy.  When lil one was with me, I put him down for naps without a cry at all and he would nap at around 1.5 hrs x 2.  Now, daddy would be lucky to get 1 hr for the entire day!  Baby is also going through a bit of separation anxiety (he developed this when I went back to work).  He doesn't like it if I leave the room.  He was fine before (work) but not now.  And now, he wants daddy to hold him and not leave him alone.  We have definitely noticed some changes in him, day and night since I have left for work and it has only been two days!  Oh boy!!!

I'm so exhausted though.

I'm so happy I never missed out on any of those "firsts". I used to take care of children in my home while attending high school/college and I used to feel so sorry for the mothers when I'd tell them of all the firsts and the fun we had throughout the day. I feel blessed to have been able to stay home when I became a mother. I've told my SO of the fun I had during those times and am often reminded of them come the summer time (no school). I even look around at all the summer activites we could be doing. That tends to break my heart. Kids are only kids for so long. My SO has offered several times to care for all our financial needs so that I can quit my job and stay home but I've yet to take him up on his offer.

It's hard to see or know they cry cause they want you. If you're like me, as soon as you're out of their sight you cry too. But then you'll also be heartbroken when they don't cry for you. *sigh* being a mother is emotionally challenging.

I hope everyone adjusts exceptionally well.[/DIV]

We all reach that point sooner or later...........I think it is good to be back at work.

My X went back to work then we had so much issues with finding GOOD care that she quit and stayed at home best thing she ever did.

Where isn't an issue as long as you're in good company. As for lunch... baked BBQ chicken, mac -n- cheese, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and biscuits.
