Lil Me

Steamed a sticky rice wrap and a bunch of beers and Mike's lemonade last night.

I had an issue to deal with.  After months of keeping my peace, I finally told the owner of my company what the service manager has been saying about him.  I couldn't hold it in any longer.  The service manager's opinions are so ignorant and off-base.

Ulp.  I think that was the final nail in the service manager's coffin.

*sighs*  I had to say it.  Everyone else was pissed off, too.  He lost the respect of the technicians months ago.  We had all been tiptoeing around the situation for months.  But noone wanted to be "the one".  Well, I became "the one".

So I had to follow-through.  Wrote a long report last night which detailed every problem- his lack of respect for the owner and the techs, his micro-management of the office staff, his constant criticism of other departments that have nothing to do with him- like purchasing/cash flow, his petty criticisms and racist comments about other people.

I've shared my first draft with the boss, who was understandably not pleased to hear what the service manager had been saying.  But the boss will back me up (and pretend to be in the dark) when I meet the service manager later this week to address it.

Good job Lil Me.     They couldn't have picked a better one to be THE one.
I doesn't serve anybody's good to have someone like that around.  I'm so proud of you.

Good for you Lil  =)

Odd how doing the right thing is always the hardest.

Lunch- grilled porkchops, green beans, fried potatoes, corn bread, sprite.

No Breakfast  Lunch was take out, I realized I had taken nothing out of the freezer and since I Had Pasta yesterday I did not want to eat it twice in a row. lunch tomorrow is the left over pasta.

Honey Garlic Basted Chicken served with Sweet Onions and Yam Fries.
Oh so good, but it put a 15 dollar dent in the wallet... Diet Sprite....

Sipping some black orange spiced tea as I write this.. sweetened with a drop of amber honey. This is very powerful honey, very sweet & the taste is very cloying if you use to much. 30 ml per 2 liters would be a strong flavorful iced tea mix. This Honey has lasted me nearly 3 months. I got to remember to buy more a little dollop will go a very long way... Problem is finding more of it, Quebec honey and I no longer work at the warehouse where I bought it from =( I doubt I will be able to get it at wholesale price (8 dollars wholesale) store prices tend to be about 15 dollars...

I guess dinner was with a friend at this fondue place downtown.

Damn I want a nice thick T-Bone steak fresh off the BBQ...

The reality is I will have to settle for a less expensive meal, for the cost of 1 T-bone, I can make 3 slow cooked stews 1 with medium ground hamburger, 1 with some chicken & 1 with some pork, when you add some lentils or pot barley & rice, add a can of diced tomatoes to mix with some thick cut veggies after being out all day you get to come home to slow cooker stew...

While this may not be near as good as Honey Garlic Chicken with Sweet onions and Yam fries but if I budget I can afford 1 good steak per month and at least 1 nice little resteraunt meal for myself, and lots of good stews.

Good for you for speaking up, Lil Me.  I know how hard that must've been and I'm sure others will appreciate it.  There aren't many people these days who will speak up when it comes to these types of office politics.

How are you feeling?
