 MrLM and I spent hours (5 hrs?) breaking ice on the roof.  Yesterday's sunshine caused a partial thaw which re-froze in thick blocks in the eavestroughs.  Most of the downspouts were frozen, too.
 What worked: hammer, chisel, blowtorch, buckets of salt, shovels, electric kettle with long extension cord.
 What didn't work: hot pot burner (butane too cold to flow).

day 3 of driving around aimlessly in suburbia is depressing. I'm already tired of it, my mother thinks I'm having withdrawls from not being able to walk anywhere. ugh.

 2 foot deep snow drifts piled on top of some of the bus shelters in the east side. lol watched a ton of snow fall off a awning yesterday... the poor bastard underneath it had just finished shoveling his sidewalk. LMAO i know its rude to laugh but all that snow slid off right on to his side walk, that he had probably just spent 1 hr shoveling.. and now the whole damned thing is covered in snow nearly 2 foot deep. oh god i wish i had, had my camera on me... that was funny especially when his face turned red and u could just see him swearing under his breath...

lunch was a oven baked 8 inch pizza sub a package of Hawkins cheesies and a snickers chocolate bar with almonds as desert... washed it down with home made lemonade ( made from scratch the hard way...)
