We now have about a foot and a half.....and still coming.  I'll measure properly tomorrow.

  Maybe work Caramel Pork and After Hours Caramel Pork are very different people ?

I couldn't even entertain the thought of an evening with someone who couldn't laugh and joke.

  Did you notice the space between the low branches and the driveway ?  There's almost no clearance at all.  (That's from the front porch looking down the driveway). *and that was 6 or 7 hours ago.

That must be quite the sight to see.  I can't even imagine !

  Speaking of the weight of snow....we put up the patio umbrella over the bird feeder to keep their food from being buried.....and it collapsed within an hour.  I don't suppose we'll be getting any awards for being great thinkers.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/e058.gif" border=0]

 without stating the obvious can you put a steeper pitch to the umbrella so that snow slides off easier?

No.....there are only two stops.....UP ....or Down.  Plus it has to allow easy access for the birdies.

 does the umbrella have a smooth plastic like surface?
 I spray WD40 on the kids's sled to make it faster (i.e. less friction)

No....it's canvas.  I stood there looking at it from the cozy warmth of the Ebony Lounge saying....hmmm....I should probably go out there and give that thing a thump....but I stood there and watched it collapse instead.
