I do like dim sum very much.  I am a veggie so I'm slightly limited as to what I can enjoy but never the less I do partake often.  Any suggestions on really great places around town?

Definitely. Sun Sui Wah (any branch) has lovely dumplings. I also like Kirin in Richmond - a bit pricey but the portions are good quality.

I usually end up going to Big Lai on Kingsway. Not the best service but they have ok size dim sum.

Thanks lady.  I'll have to give them a shot.

I looked at Gopher's suggestion of toad-in-the-hole, but decided on bangers and mash instead.  Haven't had that in ages.  It's nice comfort food, but too calorific for every day.  Hope everybody is having a pleasant day.

Bangers and marsh? What is that exactly? Sausages and marshed potatoes... right? English food?

You got it, Lise.  Fattening as can be, but very tasty.  Add some green peas and it's a good meal once in a long while

Twice in a short while is even better (however, I still prefer toad in the hole)

I haven't read the past posts, what's toad in the hole?

I ran out of pu-ehr tea and now I'm in a world of hurt.

You?
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Ther is a good basic recipe for Toad in the Hole at [A href="vny!://www.thefoody.com"]www.thefoody.com[/A].  It is sausage cooked in bisquit dough.

I'm so sorry to hear that bro.  Anything I can do to help?

Things are pretty exciting here in Chickletville.  We are having our huge trees trimmed and cleaned up and we are also expecting a couple of new additions to our ever growing family.

A new Stove and new washer and dryer.  I cannot tell you how excited I am.  The appliances that came with our house were all the originals.  Old to say the least.

Chicklet, I don't think there's anything you can do to help. I've ordered some more and it should be here in a few days    *twitch*   *chewing nails*

Congrats on your new...babies? Have you named them yet??

Oooh.  Names.  I never thought of that.  Any ideas?  A big kiss to whomever names my three new babies.

'Tart for Ember Day' = minced meat pie? (I really have no idea)
