Shoney's used to be down the street, they moved. Never seen one since. Everyone thought they just disappeared. Everyone know goes to Old Country er Hometown Buffet, if you're looking for 'american' buffet.

Denny's is a cool place to go to after midnight.

Still the cheapest food I've ever come across is 2 bucks for a 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, bacon or sausage at this place in Salina, KS which is truly the city in the middle of nowhere.

Indeed about the family owned places in the West. Further east you go in this country you enter chain land. Unless you go to tourist traps, then you'll get commercialism.

I don't have money, so its always Taco Bell Grande Meals.
