What do you have to lose in trying it once?

Please don't dismiss it out of hand.

That's a very hurtful thing to do.
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

To enhance (or restore?) your feeling of well-being, I'll try it as you suggest.

You're so right, tenkani.  It was foolish to dismiss it without at least trying it.  One of these days I'll summon up the nerve, but how will I know if it has been properly made when there is nothing in my experience to compare it with?

That's a good question!!

I can only suggest asking around to find the best Thai restaurant in the area.

Of course, I've asked that question and been led to a real hole in the wall before     :(

Some people have all the luck!

Some people seem to think that a shabby little place means authentic ethnic cooking.  Sometimes they are terribly wrong!

True, I've never seen authentic ethnic cooking in a cowshed.

Perhaps if you're setting up a barbeque and you want the meat handy and fresh.

LOL.

I try not to judge a book by its cover (sorry for the cliche), but yeah, a lot of times a hole in the wall is just a hole in the wall. Didn't Freud say that??

What does it taste like ?

P.S. This is the second time this forum software notifies me that replies were posted (5 replies, this time around) and that I "may wish to review" my post.

I'll be darned ! It did it again ! Will I ever be able to get this posted ? This is too much. >:(

tenkani

Well, you can still post it without checking to see what other people are saying.

 Rather metallic and crunchy.

Oh, dear.
Are you really talking about what I fear and suspect you are talking about ?

That's what I do and that's not the problem.
The problem is all those add-ons such as backslashes and HTML code the software inserts into my post every time anew, which I have to delete again before sending it.

I had Greek for lunch today.  Its was great and hot for a change.
