Totally.

No idea what's for dinner. Everyone's eating grilled cheese, I'm going to cook.

To me those Crepe places are like Steak 'n Shake except classier.

There's that italian place beside the art gallery, but isn't it a copy of a common european bistro or cafe ? Reinventing the wheel in USA ? I hardly see the difference except the name.

That's exactly the case Michel.  They are plentiful in Vancouver.....I think it's more the term that is relatively new.....not the concept.

SD....I have a hunch there are thousands of restaurants in Van you haven't tried yet....lol

I'm sure I'll get to them all eventually.
I've been to like 30 places, not a lot per say.
Visited every pub in Nanaimo though, which is I must say an accomplishment since there's about 2 on each corner.

Well people are getting slimmer now.
They announced last week with great fanfare that they've stopped the child obesity rates from going up.

Lots of ethnic take-out places in Vancouver- donairs, sushi, noodles, tacos, etc.  Pretty cheap...and for the most part healthy.  I'd rather get a $5 sushi box or a curry bowl than a burger combo.

Though, I must sheepishly admit that the McAngus Burger is a good burger.
If I needed to choose a burger, I'd pick BK.

Potato salad and an avocado for dinner.
 Mr LM went out :(
He met his long-lost cousin after 30+ years, so that's cool.

Holy !  Does he have ANY recollections at all of this cousin ?

Wow!  How did he stumble across his long-lost cousin?  Who met who first and found out who?  Details please.

Lise

I had a half cousin I didn't know existed until about four years ago. Long story but suffice to say it had involved stuff I never knew my grandparents were capable of.

Boy, is it me or is it bloody cold today? *sniff*

I tell ya.... my workplace gets weirder and weirder by the minute. I'm being torn by two good friends. On one hand I get along with co-worker A (we laugh, we have a good time) and on the other hand, I'm loyal to co-worker B (who's like a timid mouse). They don't get along with each other and it's gotten to the point where it's just plain ugly. I don't know..... I can't stand the way they would bitch about each other but have no choice. I keep saying, 'It's OK. Don't think too  much about it, it'll blow over etc. etc. etc." I won't say anything bad about the other because it's like betraying each other.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST GET ALONG WITH ONE ANOTHER????!?!?!?!?!

Argh........... ok, nice to get things off my chest.......
