Later, buddy.

Keep it hot.
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

How's it going FC.  Having fun with the new IPod ?  Toys are fun.  I'm still low tech in the toys department.  I have a cell phone, that I hate, and that's about it.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c028.gif" border=0]

Howdy PC! Yup I'm just tickled to pieces with this new gadget. It's seriously The Fuuuutuuuure (said in a hollow-y announcer voice). If you were to tell me when I was a kid making compilation tapes by setting my tape recorder next to the radio and hoping to press record in time to catch my favorite songs, that one day I'd carry my entire music collection in my pocket as well as being able to watch music videos, TV and movies on it and it would be no bigger than half a deck of cards, I probably would've passed out trying to imagine it. (y'know I think that might be about the longest sentence ever posted on DS)

It helped in the early days to fix the calendar, and it caused Egyptian priests to chronicle ecplipses with such care that in time they were able to predict them. These two services I am prepared to acknowledge, but I do not know of any others

Well, bless yer buttons for doing that all in one breath.

  It's incredible. isn't it?

I have a friend who is a hairdresser, and works at one of the elderly care facilities in our area.  She wasn't sure if that was the direction she wanted to go as far as clientel (sp?)....but now she says she wouldn't trade it for the world.  The generation of people in their 80's and 90's have probably witnessed the greatest changes on our planet than any other generation ever has or ever will.  From horse and buggy's to IPods.  To hear their stories must be fabulous.

Isn't that something to think about? Many romanticize earlier time periods, but I am extremely happy to be alive in the here and now. We are truly surrounded by wonders everyday, and many of us (lucky ones) have our every need met. We have the capacity to become at least a pseudo-expert in just about anything we can imagine. I feel rich in knowledge around my house with all our books, instruments, projects, not to mention all the knowledge at our fingertips now with the internet.

(far out stoner post)

Gotta check my eyelids for holes. G'night.

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

I guess everyone is still sleeping...or driving into work...hey CK you should be there...it is an hour later in that great city you live in.....

CK

Hi cutezz! and everyone.

Actually just a busy morning at work here. What a foggy walk to work this morning. Its cleared up pretty good.

cutezz

Hi Ck how are you today...the weather here is ...well guess...it is Vancouver you know....

CK

Ahh yes..rain, rain, more rain, chance of sunny periods in 4 days, then some more rain.
Actually, I kind of miss it. I wouldn't mind a mellow rain for a couple days. Only problem here, when it rains, its not mellow!

Mmmm, going for a chicken wrap at lunch.
