It was hard when I did it for the first time with any company last year.  I didn't know what to write about myself.  We were given objectives and we had to give our comments.  I am better prepared this time where I've kept a "me" file throughout the fiscal year where I'd keep emails of all praises, compliments, job well-dones, tasks I've done where I went the extra mile, etc.

My goal is to definitely beat my rating last year.  My score affects how much of a company bonus I get in December and my salary increase.

Yep, so everyone really has to write lots and really keep track of your own performance.  We have to do the convincing of why we deserve a high rating for each objective.  It's a long process and I get stumbled in figuring out how to respond to each of my objectives.  And get this, in the end, my Manager gives the final rating.  The more I have, the more she'll be convinced of my having a higher score.

  Gosh, it's confusing....

Is there any benefit to including any less than flattering emails or feedback to demonstrate that you also learn something from negative feedback.....and use this as a tool to make better decisions and improvements on your overall performance ?

Yes Yes.  I have that too and good point, PC.

I have to write those under "change management" category.  :)))

I think I'd be a tad skeptical of someone (not you specifically) who didn't allow themselves to recognize this.....and the constant need for improvement.  I think you can learn a lot about someone from how they handle the bumps and what they learned from them.

I noticed DS was down last night when I tried to get in at around 9:30ish.  It's been happening too often, I think.

Anyways, good morning.  I watched Death Sentence last night.  Movie theatre was practically empty!  We could've.....

Awww...Lisey... get well soon. I have a chicken soup recipe.

You take some chicken drumsticks (brown them first) then add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onions and cook.  I usually add lentils, green peas and some noodles.  You could basically add whatever you want.  Let it cook and simmer for an hour or too.
