OK. OK. *breathing a little bit - calmer now*

I just went through the job listings. Seems to be jobs everywhere for my line of work. I can rest a bit easier. I just have to be a bit more confident in my work. Like I've been doing this for five years. I'm sure I can find one that's better pay and closer to work.

ARGH!!! I wish I was rich so I don't have to worry about all this... hmph.

Oh jeebus Lise.....I hate having to make a panic decision.  Have you thought about asking your boss about a 'job sharing' position.  Two people interested in part time to fill the week....... to trade off between each other to make their schedules work around 'mom schedules'.  Great for moms who need flexibility.

The boss actually steps aside as far as scheduling goes.....and leaves it up to the 2 to fill the week.  You can even negotiate a full week if either of you needs a few extra bucks.....and on the flip side if someone just needs more than a couple days off.

Something like a 3 on 4 off.  (or even better if they are not open 7 days  a week.....3 on 3 off.

Problem is no one wants to do job sharing. It's kinda weird because I do think that there are many CDAs out there who would want to job share. I mean, how hard can it be? Part of me suspect that my boss don't really want a person who can do part time. Ah well. If I lose the job, then so be it. I can always find one closer.

It's just... I guess a security issue thing. I just need a confident booster. Or strike the lottery.

Lise, if you've done it for five years you already know you're good at it.  So whenever you start to doubt yourself, just remember that you wouldn't have worked that long at it if you weren't good.  You can do it competently no matter where you work.  Good luck in job hunting.  There is probably an office close to home just waiting for your expertise.

Oh boy......you nailed that one, Lise.  It IS a security issue.....familiarity means not having to go through the 'acceptance' stage again.....which is always unsettling.  But when you know your stuff......you know your stuff.

Getting a job closer to home means less travel time....which equals less time away from the munchkins.....and less money for gas.....which equals more  'whatever you need' for the muchkins.

Lise......you don't strike me as someone who lacks in self esteem.....YOU CAN DO IT GIRL !!!!

Aaaah, you guys! Thank you so much for your support and kind words. Now that I'm a lot calmer, part of me kinda regret asking them to take me back. Security is the one thing that keeps me grounded, I guess it's just hard to let go and take the plunge. But sometimes you gotta do it and maybe it'll be better in the end.

It's just that... I guess after one year you kinda not sure about everything. Like can I remember how to work with a dentist? LOL.

Anyways, thanks again. Your words really help. I must be positive and keep a high spirit. Things happen for a reason and there's no point in harping over past issue. I will be stronger for this. Blesses all around.

I think you're onto something with the lottery thing Lise.  It would sure eliminate some tough decisions.

Thank you again! With friends like you guys, who needs a real life counsellor? Hehe.

Off to the park today. The day looks good so we're heading there.

Good luck on finding that camera, PC. Take some good shots and bring them to the picture thread.
