Never been to Guu PL, another place that I should try. I must admit I'm not very adventurous for food here. Will remember to try one day. Info appreciated, thanks.

I like my place underground cos it's quiet and cheap. Hate the noisy lunch crowds, especially if I go alone.

Do you know if this little place underground is still open for dinner ?

Sportsdude

need the reflection time Michel?
Me too, I like quieter places at lunch.

"We can't stop here. This is bat country."

Michel

Yep, I like quiet places, even if I'm with someone, I hate to shout to get a conversation.

purelife

It's closed for dinner, Michel.  I know, I was disappointed when I need dinner.

Well, you probably won't like Guu because it's crowded and hot in there.

Sportsdude

 yeah like a loud mall.

ah too bad, I will work evening for a year beginning september, I don't know where I'm gonna go then, that place was really cheap and practical.

Oh I might try it anyway, I just have to arrive à 1:30 and it should be quiet as long as they still want to serve me at that time.[/DIV]

Michel

yeah like a loud mall.

Exactly, it's "OK" if I do shopping since it's part of the "stressful enjoyment of consuming", but to cut the day at work, no thank you.

purelife

Guu is open for dinner too, Michel.

You could always go to Pacific Centre's food court.  They're open at times until 9pm.  There's this really good place for Thai food there.  There's always SteamRollers or canned soups from London Drugs.

purelife

awww...is your work stressful, Michel?

Michel

You could always go to Pacific Centre's food court

Oh great, that's the place just beside the skytrain right ?

Stressful work ? Yes it can be stressful some days, but it's ok, I just prefer quiet atmosphere at lunch time.

Sportsdude

I don't know what works for you but when I'm on lunch breaks I eat quickly and then take a walk in a park or something.

Michel

yeah I could take a walk at lunch but I'm quite "relax" with my hours of attendance, so at lunch I better come back fast. LOL. Still, I took the time to go to Chapters the other day and to buy a pair of shoes at Losers too. But if I take too long, I have to stay later cos I have deadline to respect.

purelife

LOL about calling them Losers, Michel.

Yup, that's the one, beside Granville Station.

Babylon Cafe on Robson across from Sears is good for their chicken wraps.  It's 5bucks and really yummy.

Sportsdude

ah the book stores! that's another great quiet place.

Michel

I know for Babylon,   so far it's the only place you recommend me that I've been, and it's very good indeed.

Hey PL, here's a good hint : if you check from your window, you might see my building. At the moment that I'm posting this, there's a guy outside just over my window cleaning. Fast, run to the window. LOL
