P.C., I like your style. Coffee and sunshine. Same here. Exepet the sun is only peeking out ans teasing once in awhile. [/DIV]You are like a ray of sunshine, and DS is like my coffee.

P.C., on the island, you actually get a touch more sun than the Lower Mainland. [/DIV]Did you always live there? I think if I ever move back to BC I would want to live in Maple Ridge, but not commute into the city, I would want to set up shop out there. I love it there. A lot of family there too. I just think of my lifestyle in Vancouver is not much different than here. Since my nightlife days, all I want to do on weekends is get out of the city and into the mountains, forests, lakes..etc. I think Maple Ridge has easy access to the outdoors, yet, it is close enough to Vancouver for entertainment purposes. That would be the only reason for me to want to go downtown. No hurry though, I love my job here.

I think we do get a tad more sunshine and a titch less rain.  And although I never say never, I can't imagine what would make me move from the Island.

I was actually born and raised in Vancouver, and left in 86.  I wept for weeks, because I didn't want to be here.  I spent more time back on the mainland visiting friends and family that I did in my 'new' home.  Now you have to DRAG me off the Island. Everytime I drive by the beach, I STILL can't believe I'm so lucky to be here.  I'm certainly not suggesting it would be the same for everybody, but it's everything I didn't know I wanted.

That seems to be a common thing, Islanders become Islanders for life. Don't blame them. It is heavenly![/DIV]I am a mountain addict. I love the Rockies and Coastals. Even in a Boomtown like Calgary, I feel very fortunate to be only a quick drive to some amazing peaks and snow.

This is K-Country (Kananaskis Country). About 1 hour from my house. (not 10 minutes..*sniffle*)

For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Make mine a quintuple, and keep 'em coming.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Notice the swarthy skin...these people are obviously terrorists. It looks like some kind of advanced nerve gas training exercise.

Good morn TehBorken and tenkani and........

CK, those pictures are GORGEOUS.  Now THAT'S a mountain.  An hour's not so bad, I'm sure it's at least a pretty drive.  Now here, I could go for an ocean swim, and in an hour......go skiing.  LOL

tenkani, that wine opener picture is perfect.....I think I'll blow that one up for a poster behind our new bar.  (Hubby's almost finished the main structure, I get to do the trim and finishing.  We're learning how to play 'co-operation'...rofl)

Hallo Yuki and P.C.!!

What are your Lunch plans??

Hay P.C., how does working with your hubby play out? Is it harmonious, or are there sometimes issues with maintaining a professional relationship with a member of the family?
