    EDIT: Sorry. Mean to say if you have allergies against MSG then it's not good for you.

Allo tenk-san. If you check instant noodles, they're usually loaded with MSG. You can actually buy MSG packaging from the stores. I don't use them as I think you can add flavors using other fresh ingredients like herbs etc. which is "safer" than MSG.

I don't know about the great white north, but here in the states MSG got a bad rep a few decades ago and isn't used much anymore. But if you buy your noodles in an asian market...

It's pretty lenient in Asia. A lot of manufacturers use MSG in their products... which is why I'm so leery of it whenever I buy instant noodles. It has gotten a bad rap but it's on the rise as an OK addictive. Better that than consuming beetle juice (food dye) from my yogurt.
