Morning Ms Pit.  Sorry to have forgotten about you.

  Yeah, it was no fun at all.  I  thougt that someone had spilled a cup of tea/water but when I started to damp it with a cloth and emptied 4 bowls of water, I knew that it couldn't have been water.  Then, it started to spread and for sure, it couldn't have been water unless someone dupped more than 20 cups of water on the ground.

I think that my dad plans to replace the carpet.  I'll call them later on to find out how it's going.  *crosses fingers that it's ok and no mould or mildew smell*

no problem dear...maybe lino would be safer way to go with area rugs that you could hang to dry just in case

 Purelife- sucks about the basement.  Our strata council has been dealing with a lot of leaks in the complex lately (hot water tanks bursting, etc).  The restoration company brings over fans and portable heaters to get everything dried out.  And, if the water is inside the wall, you need to punch a hole to let it outm otherwise the whole wall is toast
