I think your right about the trolls thing.  Because when ever something about quebec pops up the usual suspects are always on the becken call which means they are always on the board posting as a differnt person.

Keep in mind that even though the mods as a collective entity may seem to be inconsistent, as individuals they may not be. Like some mods may have a policy of only deleting offensive images. Other mods may delete all posts from certain handles. Other mods may delete any threads that attack any religion, race or nationality.
I don't think there are any real "policies" concerning what the mods have to delete, so it's up to them to decide as individuals what they see as offensive enough to swat.

Personally, I would leave up most text-based messages, because really it's not that hard to stop reading if you take offense. But if someone were to post a pic of a goatse a**hole or a severed head, I'd probably cut it. Graphic images burn themselves into ones brain in a split second and "not looking" just doesn't work as a remedy.

yeah i agree. i remember the thread post beatiful asain thread and jing jing pic showed up.  Then there was this big discussion on what was porn and what wasn't.  When it comes to women bodies artsy completely nude is not porn same with the dudes. But if a penis is erect or a women is touching herself then it cross's the line in my opinon.

Sounds about right. There's no clear line, but I probably would leave up most nude women shots...but maybe that's just because I'm a guy LOL.

 I agree with your distinctions. However they fall short of justifying deletion of classical paintings and photos of gardens.

I confess that I have posted on DV.

You know, I *like* DV, or I should say I *liked* DV (past tense). It was DV that kind of spurred me to start DS.

It used to be a cool place but now it's just a toxic wasteland of pointless threads for the most part. I don't really want to read about 99% of the crap that's posted, plus the racism, homophobia, and rampant "retard-o-mania" is overwhelming.

It used to be fun, now it's a chore to try and do anything there. No matter what you post, someone will chime in with dick jokes, "fagg0t!!!" comments, or a missive about how the Chinese are smarter than everyone else in the universe.
