Not to my recollection.  But I have vacuumed the ceiling periodically.  It is stucco, so the dust collects in the crevices.

Now I understand!  Of course flint should always be vacuumed regularly.  What nourishment would ants get from flint?

I've no idea whatsoever, I really should have asked them I suppose as they gave ample signs of being well fed.

Being modern ants, they must be heavily into "rock".

Ancient and modern. Those walls are VERY old.

Which begs the question' "How old are they?".  There must be a punchline in there somewhere!

Older than you'd imagine.

But more important, how's your eye?

It's doing well.  Oddly enough I get a slight headache when I put one of the drops in, but apart from that there's no problem.  Now I want him to do the other one as soon as possible.  (Sucker for punishment!)

Yes, best to get it all done and dusted as soon as possible. When do you get your new lenses?

The lens was inserted into the eye at the time of the operation.  I'm told I will only need reading glasses when the other one is done.

And I know what you'll be reading too - everything that's been written about Paris Hilton!

Ummm...no.  Almost anything but Paris Hilton, like cereal boxes, instruction manuals on how to insert eye drops.  That sort of thing.

Ah, intellectual pursuits.

Exactly.  I even try to read the French side of the cereal boxes.
