It's only the younger people that refer to the joy of retiring.  We know better, having reached it.  The Golden Years are more like tarnished copper.

That hadn't occured to me.  Well done, Gopher.  I was actually referring to pennies, which we are forced to count more carefully now.

I've always counted them very carefully - I've been in training for years.

  In the meantime I'm trying to imagine a tarnished policeman.

I understand it happens from time to time.

  My screen froze so I had to restart it.

I am giving up...mine isn't exactly freezing but it's temperature seems to have dropped alarmingly.

Mine seems to be a little speedier now, at least when it's working.

I think Kitten meant that although retirement is ok, the necessary ageing isn't so wonderful.

 ah, I see.
went to church then drove out into the bush, the logging roads. blah No idea where I was though, took the road until I ran into a secruity check point. I might of been near lake Cowichan who knows. lol

probably shouldn't have driven that alone, went a good half hour without a cell phone signal. Although trucks kept driving by so I'd of been fine.
