Victoria Day is the official celebration of the Queen's birthday.  But it does fall on a Monday and people do take trips or camp or just generally enjoy the long weekend.

They also do their planting out.

ah, but what if the King's in charge? For example in the next few years are we going to be celebrating Camilla? oh dear.

So when is the official start of summer?

I am sure we will then be celebrating the King's birthday.

OK.... hubby wasn't having a read in the Impossible question thread......apparently that's where I left things when I waltzed out into the garden 'for a moment', and then got carried away (as is always the case....lol)

Any exciting plans for the day Miss Kitten?

oh what are you growing in the garden P.C.?
We're planting a lot of flowers in Tigger's playground, aka the garden.

Nothing exciting for me today.  If it clears off I'll have a bbq, otherwise I'll stay in and do some ironing and dusting.  How about you, P.C.?  Anything special planned for the evening?

No plans for us.  We'll probably have our neighbour over for dinner.  Her hubby is away, so she's all by herself.

I'm sending some sunshine your way Kitten.  It's beautiful....sunny and blue cloudless sky.  Are ya ready ?

Well, I'm back to the garden......see you all on my next break.

*now I remember why I waltzed out of here in mid post.  DS is running like a slug for me today.  I haven't had this problem for a long while.  I used to have it regularly, but it's been a while.  Minutes to post instead of seconds.  Always frustrating.

  Enjoy the day.

Thank you for the sunshine, P.C.  I hope you haven't sent it by Canada Post or Greyhound though.  It will never get here!

lol greyhound and the strike.

Funny thing with the strike.  They all say how sorry they are to cause such disruption to their passengers, but apparently not sorry enough to stop the strike.

Sportsdude

that's usually the case.
My mom's a teacher and I think its unfair that its illegal for them to strike but other people can strike at will, it seems.

Your teachers aren't allowed to strike?  Essential services, I suppose.  Ours went on a two week strike a couple of years ago.

Sportsdude

nope its illegal.

I think strikes accomplish very little.......except for ticking people off.

And I agree......I'm not big on the concept of teachers striking.
