It's Flatdog here but I was Slick in another life. ;D  This is my first post without the verifications.

It's a nickname I picked up on holiday in Italy. We had two young Belgian guys as neighbours in a camping ground and they were asking me about Australia. In the conversation I mentioned some of the locals refer to crocodiles as "flatdogs". Whilst having a few beers on several nights I somehow picked up the nickname "Flatdog Dundee"

That's in the case of married couples but I wonder how it balances out with unmarried couples.
