Another cool place is Kicking Horse Ski Hill after a big snow in Golden. This hill is sweet, and is not too busy. I think its because the road to it is a death trap in winter, but hey, you only live once.

Amazing country in the summer too. White water rafting, hiking, and wicked mountain biking.

I think Canada Day is better spent at a nice camping area close to a nice lake, with cute females too hot to wear all their clothes!

Yes, in the rain shadow (Kamloops area to the Okanagan/USA border). temperatures regularly exceed 38 degrees. Its not too humid either.  Kamloops gets wicked lightning storms because the cool coastal air crashes in with the dry desert like heat. I think there is even a lightning study centre in Kamloops?

ok, maybe not St.Louy summer hot, but definately into the late 20s in July. Usually people are not dying from heat stroke like in T.O.

So will the Richmond and most of the Lower Mainland and parts of the Island. sadly!

Haha! One time I had cousins from the US come up and we went camping in the North Okanagan. We went into Kelowna for the day for Canada Day. They did a fireworks show at a park and when it was over, my cuz asked "ok, when do the real fireworks start?". I kind of sheepishly said "yeah..umm, that was it man!".

  So, is it really about fireworks though? Although, they are fun to watch. Calgary and Vancouver has awesome International Fireworks competitions.    

Yeah I know. We went to South Beach one night while I was there. It reminded me of a hot, tropical Montreal (night life style anyways). Without the old hookers that have cigarettes hanging out of their mouth.  

I was more interested in the beach than the bars though. Man, I never seen a white sand beach like that since Cancun.

I am all for celebrating Canada Day too mind you. I guess that is the Canadian way though. Show our spirit...but not too much!

What great excuse though for hooking up with friends and enjoying food and drink.
