I see. I was in Sunnyvale, and it wasn't the same as SF either. I think there was a bit more sun and warmth. Either way, it was fast paced compared to Vancouver.

At a NHL game here in Calgary, a few of my buddies stepped outside to the smoking area and lit up a spliff at intermission. A City cop comes walking over and says "guys, you could at least walk down to the treed area over there", and points to the area, then kept walking. They really should have known better.

Ha! Are you in the Bay Area?

When I moved there a few years ago, my co-workers told me, "you see the weather today?....it should be very simular for the next 10 months". Fog, chased away and then blue sky..could almost set your watch to it.

very beautiful there!

Although not a restaurant, there is a Tim Hortons I went to in Calgary (Heritage, by the centre Costco to be exact)...and i ordered a croussant and a coffee. I asked for butter with my treat and the girl working is telling me they don't give out butter unless its for a muffin.

I am waiting for the punchline.....and there was none. So I ask to see the manager, and he went on and on about how they get taxed differenty for giving out butter with anything but muffins...etc. WTF?!?!?!!! Shoked and amazed, at one of the biggest money grabbing corporations in North America, I told him off, very loudly so everyone could hear what was going on. I was not really pissed off, but just amazed at him argueing about giving a customer some butter?!!

Not a big fan of Tim's anyways, there are way too many independant places that kick Horton's a*s!

I am loving this heat. We just set up a nice sleeping area in my rec room in the basement. My son loves it, we watch the 'big' TV at bedtime. It is very cool downstairs. Walking up to the main floor though, it is like walking into a wall of heat. Still, I am loving the heat. Tonight we are going for a bike ride after supper.

leftover BBQ chicken w/ rice and veggies for lunch!

Lil Me, that sounds like fun. I have been to SF a lot. I used to live in that area. Pretty cool place!

Reno should be fun. Lake Tahoe is having some scary fires right now. It will be nice and green next summer.

I am going to South Florida in two weeks. I am already drinking water in preperation for it..lol!

I guess it is cooler along the waterfront. Probably starts getting hotter by the time you are approaching Burnaby. Not sure though, just a guess.

Hey Lil Me *waves back and hugs*

How's your summer so far?

Mine has been pretty mellow. Some camping. After I get back from my US trip, my son and I are off to the cabin for a few days. Water fun!

...and they will pry my bong from my cold dead hands....

Seriously, if you are not blowing smoke in a cops face, and causing other types of chaos, they probably won't give a sh*t.
