Does anyone know if there's a bus that takes you directly from Metrotown to UBC? I caught the 48 bus from UBC to Metrotown but am stumped that there's no information on how to get to UBC from Metrotown? (other than catching the skytrain to Broadway then hopped onto the 99 bus to UBC)

  Any help would be appreciated.

Wow. That's what love is. To give birth to your own grand children because your daughter is unable to give birth.

SAO PAULO, Brazil - A 51-year-old surrogate mother for her daughter has given birth to her own twin grandchildren in northeastern Brazil, the delivery hospital said.

Rosinete Palmeira Serrao, a government health worker, gave birth to twin boys by Caesarean section on Thursday at the Santa Joana Hospital in the city of Recife, the hospital said in a statement on its Web site.

Hospital officials were not available for comment on Sunday, but press reports said the grandmother and twins were discharged on Saturday in excellent health. The Caesarean section was performed about two weeks ahead of time because Serrao was having trouble sleeping, the statement said.

OMG. BIG BABY though not the biggest in the world. To top this, it's her 12th kid.

[P class=textBodyBlack][SPAN id=byLine][/SPAN]BARNAUL, Russia - A Siberian woman who gave birth to her 12th child — doing more than her fair share to stem Russia's population decline — was stunned to find that little Nadia weighed in at a massive 17 pounds, 1 ounce.

[P class=textBodyBlack][SPAN id=byLine][/SPAN]Nadia was delivered by Caesarean section in the local maternity hospital in the Altai region on September 17, joining eight sisters and three brothers, a local reporter said.

[P class=textBodyBlack][SPAN id=byLine][/SPAN]"We were all simply in shock," said Nadia's mother, Tatyana Barabanova, 43. "What did the father say? He couldn't say a thing — he just stood there blinking."

Right, this is so easy to make and taste really good. Pandan paste can be bought at any Asian grocery store. Best part of this cake is that it is light and fluffy, goes well with almost anything.

If prefer, cut a 4 by 4 square baking sheet and line the bottom of the tray with it to get the cake out easy. [A href="vny!://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Market/7773/dessert_recipe/pandan_cake.html"]Source[/A]

This is JUST ridiculous. I say NO WAY, absolutely NO way to having these monsters in Stanley Park. If anything, I would put the money to better maintain the park and have more friendly rest areas.

  What do you think?

Vancouver's majestic Stanley Park famous for being one of the largest natural parks within the downtown core of any world city may soon be reverting to the Jurassic era. If the Vancouver Park's Board approves a proposal which may have its basis from the movie Jurassic Park then Stanley Park will be transormed.  Vancouver Park's Board is to review a proposal to install up to 30 robotic dinosaurs in Stanley Park. The proposed location for these robot dinosaurs is near the miniature train ride.  Tourists visiting Stanley Park are against any ideas to change the natural beauty of the park by installing man-made dinosaur effigies. Many visitors feel that this would detract from the serene tranquility of the park and turn the park into an amusement attraction. Visitors are currently attracted to the park for its natural beauty. Stanley Park stands as an oasis amid towers of steel and concrete.  Read more [A href="vny!://www.virtualvancouver.com/news/news-70.html"]By Kyle Ware[/A] [/FONT]

Incredible as it may seem, there was actually a woman who was pregnant for 46 years. I watched the documentary yesterday and was just amazed at how the human body can entombed this fetus within the woman for that long. This phenomenon is known as 'stone baby' or Lithopedian (Greek: Stone, Pedian: Baby) where the baby begins to form a calcified mass after a while.

Kinda sad but in a twist of luck, the fact the woman fled from the hospital 50 years ago probably saved her life. At the time the doctors wouldn't have known what to do and had they preform a C section on her, she would have died there. This is her [A href="vny!://english.pravda.ru/science/19/94/377/12796_pregnancy.html"]story[/A].

[P align=justify]Last year, an elderly woman attended a clinic in Rabat, Morocco. The lady complained she was feeling heaviness in the lower part of her stomach and experienced shortness of breath.

[P align=justify]X-ray indicated that the lady needed immediate surgery. The surgery was conducted the next day. Surgeons made a Caesarian section and extracted a formless calcified lump. As it was later determined, this respected Moroccan woman got pregnant 46 years ago!

[!-- TEXT BLOCK 2 --] [P align=justify]She's been carrying her future baby for 7 months, when the fetus died while still in the womb. With time, the fetus has fossilized after being saturated with calcium produced by female's organism. Most remarkable of all is that this fossilized "cocoon" did not affect the overall mother's condition. The "calcified mummy" will now be exhibited at the capital's clinic of medical marvels.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A Malaysian court sentenced an Indonesian woman to prison for six months for almost severing her husband's penis out of jealousy, police said Wednesday.

Umidah Setu, an Indonesian migrant worker living in Malaysia, pleaded guilty in court Tuesday in the southern city of [SPAN id=lw_1190838825_0 style="BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed"]Johor Bahru[/SPAN] to voluntarily causing hurt, said Che Yussof Che Ngah, deputy chief of Johor state's criminal investigations department.

Umidah, a 47-year-old canteen operator, was arrested Sunday after her husband, who is also from [SPAN id=lw_1190838825_1 style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed"]Indonesia[/SPAN], filed a police report claiming she tried to cut off his penis with a knife, Che Yussof said.

OH GAWD! Imagine being 'dead' only to wake up when they start cutting you up. Yikes!

CARACAS (Reuters) - A Venezuelan man who had been declared dead woke up in the morgue in excruciating pain after medical examiners began their autopsy.

Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize something was amiss when he started bleeding. They quickly sought to stitch up the incision on his face.

I might hate fast food joint but throwing a python at the cashier?

ROUND ROCK, Texas, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Three pranksters threw a 3-foot python at a Texas fast-food worker who happens to have a fear of snakes.

Bryant Simmons was working the drive-through window at a Taco Bell in Round Rock at the time of the incident Sunday, the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman reported. As he handed their order to three men in a pickup truck one of them threw the yard-long snake at him.

..... of course!

LINCOLN, Neb. - A legislator who filed a lawsuit against God has gotten something he might not have expected: a response. One of two court filings from "God" came Wednesday under otherworldly circumstances, according to John Friend, clerk of the Douglas County District Court in Omaha.

"This one miraculously appeared on the counter. It just all of a sudden was here — poof!" Friend said.

State Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha sued God last week, seeking a permanent injunction against the Almighty for making terroristic threats, inspiring fear and causing "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants."

BERLIN (Reuters) - Staff at a German butcher's shop were shocked to discover a customer had hidden two sex toys in their sausages for transport to Dubai, police said on Wednesday.

"It was two latex dildos with a natural look," said a spokesman for police in the southwestern city of Mannheim.

After shopping there earlier in the day, the man, who spoke broken English, returned to the butcher's with two large "Schwartenmagen" sausages. He asked a shop assistant to wrap and cool them until he departed for Dubai the next day.[/FONT]

ROTFL. Can you believe it? On one of the cooking site, I've gotten warnings about.....

  (a) Using the word "puke" to refer to McDonald as McPuke. So in that sense I have to refrain from saying other words like 'crap', 'dang', 'damn', 'frack'......

One time I said, "That's one hell of way to pay" and the word "hell" was actually blanketed. LOL.

    (b) I have been asked to change my signature line so I can't add my website to it. Not only that, I can't use certain quotes!

The two that I've been asked to remove:

[SPAN class=body][FONT face=Verdana size=2]I get no respect. The way my luck is running, if I was a politician I would be honest.[/FONT][/SPAN]

  and

[SPAN class=body][FONT face=Verdana size=2]I'm at the age where food has taken the place of sex in my life. In fact, I've just had a mirror put over my kitchen table.[/FONT][/SPAN]

  (c) I must never mention Britney Spears ever again. It was highly inappropriate for a 'family' website to talk about Ms. Spears. WTH?

The funniest part is the fact the moderators are talking about me as if I'm the lasted Moo bah or Green Giant troll that's come to invade their pristine and wonderful site. I got the PM by accident because I don't think it was meant for me to read it.

Well, at any rate, I don't know if I want to really belong to that forum. After being through DV, DATW and DS (which in my opinion is probably the best forum in the world and I keep returning to TehBorken like a long lost lover), everything else seem like a walk in the park.

If you're interested to know what forum I was in, PM me and I'll let you know.
