Grab a zip-lock bag add some instant rice & some normal rice. Fill the bag with the rice & put the phone in the center of the rice Now let it sit for a a couple of days. The phone should be dried out by this time.This trick does work well.
There is also the hair dryer trick. Open the phone and then use a hair dryer on medium heat to try and dry out the phones interior. After the phone is dried out people from Reboot recommended you do not plug it into any power chargers or turn it on for 2 more days..
I Hope this info helps you out Tux and in the future I suspect that you will be more careful by doing a pocket check before doing the wash.
