Hi......all depends just doing stuff on the place or getting paid?
Had a nice weekend but with the wind blowing so hard here in vancouver did not even bother going to the lake.
Both. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
We had weird weather today. A little bit of everything. Rain, thunder, lightening, sunshine, wind.
Its like winter has decided to show up now..........ffs
I agree about the crappy weather that we recently had. Did you hear the thunder/seen lightening on the 29th??!! I was out that day with baby. I was drenched, he was dry. I was glad it stopped in the late afternoon.
Working.. next week.
Been redoing the master bedroom. Painting, moulding, and thinking about crown moulding.
Damn wind set off the alarm at work..........called at 3 am have not been able to fall back to sleep.......................looks like no cabin again this weekend if it keeps up.
I'm working today, and almost every day. But I work from home and I goof off a lot...so is it really "working"?
If you get paid for it, it's work!
Why does one have to get paid for it be considered work? Women (sometimes men) cook and clean on a regular basis. Just because they aren't receiving financial reimbursement doesn't mean it isn't work.
I was just being facetious.
Natasha wrote:

Yea, but they enjoy doing it so much
I don't know whether to leave this one alone or taekwondo your @$$.
I pick taekwondo his a$$. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/4.gif)
[P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal]Well when I say I am working it just implies for pay. When I am at the cabin and working its cause I love doing that and it is more of a way for me to relax. As for housework well most of us all do that and it is hardly left up to one person any more. Unless you have a traditional family from way back when witch most of us do not.
People do work from home AND get paid. Like me. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Plus I do all that other free work too. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/4.gif)
Well if you dp all that other work for free drop on by my place any time.... [img border=0 src="vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/11.gif"]

That's not a bad trade as long as you'll use the oven for a wonderful dinner later on that night.
That can be arranged. I have a pork tenderloin defrosting in the fridge right now, once it is defrosted it will be sliced very thin. It will go with the broccoli tops, some green peppers, bean sprouts and the green onion, that's going to get mixed in to a stirfry. It will be served on top of steamed rice and a hot pepper soy sauce on the side for additional flavoring, if the stirfry sauce is not enough. prep time 45 minutes. Rice takes 45 minutes vegtable prep and marinate is 45 minutes. cook time for the stir fry in a real Wok less than 15 minutes. In a stove top skillet a bit longer cause i have to do it in batches...
It is times like this I wish I had Gas there are some dishes that are best cooked in a real kitchen with the real tools.
Work i only wish I had some to do.
Can I just hire to cook for me every night, Little Fish?
No work for me today. I have the day off for an appointment which I need to get ready for.
Natasha you supply the items Ie a well supplied Fridge, freezer and pantry with a fully stocked spice rack the essential pots & pans and a wheelchair accessible kitchen, It would then be my honour to cook for you, for free at that. I am not a very good cook to be honest. but if your willing to risk burnt food or food poisoning, then it is my honour to cook for you.

LOL, gee when you put it like that how can I say no?
you forgot the wine and beer
Really. What's the point. (//vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/musik/e030.gif)
No DDD I did not forget the Wine or Beer, I have no use for alcohol because I do not drink. Nor is any stored or served from my house, no drinks can be found here. other than the fruit or soda pop kinds.
Natasha as for food poisoning anything you buy is at risk. As long as the kitchen, is kept clean, and you store the food items correctly. Plus the food items are prepared and cooked properly, the risk of food poisoning then becomes a very negligible risk. I also mean the proper method for cleaning ones hands to many are forgetting that they need to be including the fingernails when they wash and scrub up for food prep. You would be amazed, perhaps even shocked if you knew, how many people, do not wash up correctly.

Do you go out to dinner with individuals who drink? I never keep alcohol in my home either. I do have an occasional drink for very special occasions. Nothing major though. Just one glass is all.
Yes, I know all about proper food preparation. I actually love to cook but sometimes it's hard to enjoy when I'm tired. "You would be amazed, perhaps even shocked if you knew, how many people, do not wash up correctly. " I know all to well and just the thought makes me want to vomit. It's part of the reason why I prefer home cooked meals. You mentioned food poisoning, I took that to mean you were going to lace my meal with rat poison or something (in a joking manner of course). That's why I made the comment as I did... no biggy.
Natasha, I must concur, I do prefer to do my own home cooking. Than to go out for that very reason. I at least know where my dishes have been and how long a item has been in the fridge or freezer. No I so rarely go out, I have few friends and little time to hang out.
^ that's exactly how I see it too =) With all those TV programs showing behind the scene kitchen employees mishandling food, I don't see how anyone would want to eat out on a regular basis. Even some of things people talk about in restaurants is unfitting sometimes. I went to a Chinese place with my bf, we ordered drinks (non alcoholic) then placed our order. As we were waiting for our food, one of the waitresses was on the phone. She started going on about douching. I understand there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant and feminine hygiene is a normal thing but seriously... have some class and save that type of talk for another place. We waited for my own waitress to bring the food (gave her a tip), asked her to let me speak to a supervisor, told him what we heard, how disgusted I was, grabbed my purse, told him to tell that other waitress pay for the meal then walked out. The super tried to blame it on the girls age, early 20's but I think that's old enough to know proper work conduct.
Well I can understand the booze thing but I do love my Beer. I love going out to eat but cooking a good meal or being surrved one at home is allways better
"We waited for my own waitress to bring the food (gave her a tip), asked her to let me speak to a supervisor, told him what we heard"
Good for you Natasha. That's what we need to do. I hear too many people complain about bad service, but when you ask them what they did about it, usually the answer is nothing. Plus, to make matters worse, they tipped.
P.C. you been back to the picture thread yet?
Yeaaa, What did I miss ?

I can overlook some things... adding onions when I asked for none, bringing my steak med-rare when I asked for well done, little things like that don't bother me. The way I see it is, I don't know that person or what's going on in their personal lives so maybe something major is distracting them. Or maybe they just started that type of job/workplace so they're nervous. I wont complain and still leave a tip. But what that girl did was just nasty. When things are so bad a person doesn't want to eat there anymore...ever, complaints should be made.

I have no problems staying focused in an office. I don't even have TIME to check DS. But when I'm working from home, I'm easily distracted. And DS is suddenly a high priority...

Definitely worked too hard over the weekend. Believe it or not I was looking into renting a cabin overlooking a lake with a hot tub on the back deck just the other day. Seems nice and all but when will I be get away is not so nice. The location isn't far from home but the place is about to embark on it's busiest season of the year so the only way I'll get to be alone is if I stay at the cabin.. lol
sounds like a great place...................I need time away right now........too much shit to deal with why do people need to make things harder than they need to be
Today was silence. So I talked to a phd student.

Hmm my X said that same thing to me just the other day. But even when I offered a compromise, he refused. So who's the one really making things harder?
In passing last year two girls on campus were talking to each other:
"Why do we always seem to end up with the bad guys?"
"Because we didn't know until after!"
=D
Not all guys are like that though. Some guys are jerks and seem almost proud of it.
I had a guy ask me out once. I said "yes". Then he said "oh but I should tell you, I don't put up with shit from anyone and if you give me a hard time I'll kick your ass". I was like "ooook yeah right. That's so unfunny btw." So he turned to his friend and said "what happened to my last girlfriend?" The friend said "You beat her ass daily." Needless to say there was no date nor did I ever acknowledge his existence after that.

Woman allways......... :)
some men disgust me.. I admit I am a bit of a bastard but sheesh, I have storm raged and yelled at my ex wife. But I never hit her. Hell she stormed raged and yelled right back at me, thats normal in some relationships a bit of a storm is good and the make up sex can be pretty wild =)
However on a few occasions she struck me. now don't get me wrong I have no problem being yelled at, particularly if I have been a prick or done some wrong, I can even handle being slapped if I had done something particularity reprehensible. Some women wonder why a man would strike them. I know I was sorely tempted once. coming home from work your wife ( common law I admit) in the arms of another man beneath my roof. Well I saw red I damn near killed him (so much for a best friend) as for her well I never touched her, but I must admit I was sorely tempted to slap the shit out of her...
I went out for a few hours, I had a few drinks it was late when I came home he was gone & she had cleaned up the blood and the remnants of the bedroom were put back together I came home realising it's my house.I packed her things and said it is time you went home to mothers threw her out. literally. I closed the door & sadly I have been single since.
For good or bad, you never know what a relationship holds till you are in one... But sometimes you see it before it begins, consider yourself lucky Natasha.

I think everyone can agree with that. I was just telling someone that I still have sex with my partner even when I'm mad. Well I would have still have sex with him if he were willing. But he isn't. So I have to wait til he gets over it.

That's so sad. I'm so sorry. Just wondering, was the drinking an issue for her? Was the time you spent out drinking time she resented and saw as time you could have spent with her?
For good or bad, you never know what a relationship holds till you are in one... But sometimes you see it before it begins, consider yourself lucky Natasha.
Yes sir. I was lucky on that one relationship. Not so lucky with another. But I did eventually leave (and stayed gone) so I consider myself blessed to be alive.
I woke up today to read that Bristol Palin makes 30k a speech.
