Title: Teakerne Navigator
Post by: Kathy on Nov 10 09 08:47
Help!!

We need information on the Canadian Vessel "Teakerne Navigator". We purchased her in Corpus Christie and was told that she was a Canadian Naval ship. She is a 71 foot Star Shipyard with Canadian maple leaf on her stack. If you have any info, please contact me at [A href="mailto:[email protected]"][email protected][/A]    Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Ha! I wish I were somewhere sunny..

Sorry about not sending anything on this. I contacted a few people when you first posted, then forgot about this. I JUST emailed some more people and reemailed the people I had sent to on this before. When I find something, I will send it to your email.

Theres not too much I can tell you, I remember being on it a couple of times in the 94/95 time, but after that it wasnt used by the sea cadets for summer camp training. Before that it was a YAG (or YFB I cant remember). I dont remember the number either. YAGs were used for navigational and general naval duties training.

The cadet website that JJ posted <might> help, but its mostly current cadets not the older ones from mine and older eras.

Thank you guys for so much help! We are cleaning her up and getting ready to take her out of the water and inspect her hull. She was quite the mess when we got her, but I think she will be quite nice after we fix her up. If you find out anything more on her history or adventures, please let me know!

  Thanks again!! Kathy
