At what point do we all become so numb to the freaks in the media constanly trying to scare our pants off so that we buy thier newspaper (i.e. thier advertisements) or watch their newscasts (i.e. watch their commercials) that when the sky actually does begin to fall we all are all so blase that we don't even pay attention.
Well into week two and no symptoms.
I'm working in a hog producing part of mexico.

That's exactly what I said. It made no sense to me right from the beginning. How you can call something a pandemic with only 3 people ill, in a country the size of Canada. (at the time). Seemed like they were sensationalizing or something of the like.

Indeed that's pigland there. Hope you got preemptive vaccination at least.
I pass a huge slaughter house every day.
Nope no vaccine. I don't think they have one yet ....
It takes months to develop a vaccine and it won't cover all aspects of the H1N1 flu. At best, you'll get the vacination and then the damn virus will mutate.
In the meantime I'm building a bubble home........
How long are you in Mexico for, van_guy?

Yeah that what I thought.
Don't bother building a bubble - but you may not want to invite someone like me to your house if im all sweat and headachy adfter a trip from mexico's swine producing area.
Another 2 weeks at least. Then a break and maybe some more - hard to say.
