The Union Pacific Railroad has gone trademark crazy. They're threatening to sue anyone who puts a Union Pacific logo on a [em]model railroad[/em], photographers who [em]take pictures[/em] of Union Pacific trains, and even [em]painters[/em] who paint pictures of Union Pacific trains. Model railroaders, photographers, and painters are freaking out, natch. That is so utterly nuts. If I had the skill I'd paint over all my UP trains.
I don't see them as a company with big trademark issues. Is someone making money off their name? Is a rival train line painting up their gear to look like them?
