Like the kinda fruit you wouldn't get sick of eating all day? Mine would be blueberries.
banana & papaya..........and yes I still have all my teeth
Cherries
It's a toss up between watermelon or raspberries.
Thanks for reminding me, PC. I'll change my favourite to raspberries (with cheries and peaches following in that order).
Cherries are up there on my list too. And grapes. The kind that 'crack' when you bite them.
Mangoes, oranges, berries.
cherries and berries
peaches and strawberries.

Anyone for a Carmen Miranda hat?
pears, peaches, apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, honeydew, watermelon, just to name a few.
Oo, oo, nectarines and kiwis are right up there too.
I'd put apples on the top of my list if I could get my hands on some Gravensteins.
Gravenstein? Like the monster that you build in your basement?
The Gravenstein monster ?
brother of Frankenstein.
Oh RIGHT, right, right, right. The story begins when Johnny Appleseed decides to cross over into medicine. It's always been his life long pie in the sky dream.
lol
Have you ever had those Lil Me ? They are without a doubt the best apples in the apple family. Of course I was spoiled, and used to eat them right off the tree. I suppose most fruit right off the vine would take a front seat to what we get in the grocers.
*my mouth is watering just thinking of them. They are hard to get....although there are a couple people who show up at the early fall local markets who have them.
I have not. I could probably find some this fall at Urban Fare or Whole Foods, though. I shall ask my mother to be on the lookout. She shops at the Granville Island market and the yuppie grocery stores.
I never understood how Johnny Appleseed could survive without shoes. Just like George Washington and his cherry tree because he was the incarnation of Jesus.
(seriously they were all whacked out on opium back then, the capitol rotunda has Washington as a god like figure taking us to heaven) (although the rotunda wasn't built until the civil war)
I'd get myself over to the Granville Island market if that was the only place I could get them. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
There was a fellow last year at the farmers market that overheard me asking for them.....and he said to 'come on over'....got tons. I never went, but I wish I could remember his name.
Maybe he liked you and the apples were just a ploy?
I pondered the possibility....and wondered what I might have to do for a bushel of Gravensteins. THAT wasn't what stopped me ....I think we were on our way out of town for the week.
Cuz he liked them apples.

You might have to go to the basement and look at his monster.

I think she may really be talking about his zoom.
Uhm.... several hours later, teh Lise is stumped by who the heck is Johnny Appleseed..........
American folklore and pioneer.
[a href="vny!://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Appleseed"]vny!://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Appleseed[/a]
Johnny Appleseed was a legendary American who planted and supplied apple trees to much of the US. Many people think that Johnny Appleseed was fictional character, but he was a real person. Born in 1774 as John Chapman.
I had a Johnny Appleseed story book when I was a kid....one of my favourites. Pictures of JA were depicted with him wearing a pot for a hat. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)

Is Moosehead beer considered a fruit?
Hahaha. I think it's a vegetable....although some might consider it a meat.
I'm of the opinion that beer is a vegetable. Except Guinness, which is a full meal.
first favorite is the Chinese pear aka the oriental pear sometimes called the ya pear.
the white and the brown
i love the white just a little bit more
thought the brown tends to be sweeter...

[p style="text-align: left;"][/p] [a name="Asian_pear"][/a]Asian pear = apple pear = Japanese pear = Chinese pear = Oriental pear = sand pear = nashi = nashi pear = salad pear Notes: Asian pears are crunchy, juicy, and very fragrant. Growers produce over twenty different varieties in an assortment of sizes and colors. They're often served raw, but they can also be cooked, though they never become as soft as cooked pears. Substitutes: Bosc pear (not as crisp and firm, nor as flowery in flavor) OR apple (different flavor, similar texture) OR quince (for stews or baked dishes)
in the photos above are both version of the white variety of the asian pear.
in second place would be the infamous
black cherry

which goes excellent on almost all ice cream but is simply best in vanilla :D

and in third spot would be the simple but luscious
navel orange
