Thanks Lise!  I'll probably check out the Farmer's Market.

I totally forgot about how close BC Day was!  YES!  Monday off!  :)

I went the the Farmer's Market in New West.  It was small but managed to pick up a few things.  The veggies are really really expensive for organic.

Last BC Day, we went through the 176St truck crossing early (left home @ 6am)...bit of a wait, but better than the other border crossings.

I've only used the I-5. At around 9-10pm ish they bring in the 'kid' border patrol newbies. He just looks at your licence and plates and lets you go....

I was at the Trucking border last week and got there close to 6:45am.  If I was just 5 minutes late, I would've been lining up.  Even at 6:45, the lineup was a few cars away from the Duty Free shop.  About 2 months ago, if I was there at that time, I would be a few cars behind the checkout point.

I would definitely go earlier.  But there's a trick at the Trucking border if there is a long line up.

Drive to Duty Free.  Buy something cheap (ie chocolates or whatever) and then flash the receipt to the Attendant.  You will then by-pass all the line and you're "that" much closer to FREEDOM!  LOL

Weekend vs weekday makes a difference to the line up.  And definitely a longer line up when it's a long weekend.

True. I left on a Thursday night. That trip was cool. My friend thought it was silly to drive to Seattle then fly to St. Louis. I liked it.

I'm staying away from the border during the long weekend. Not worth it.

THEY need to ask me.  [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c008.gif" border=0]   I am accurate far more frequently than they are.  A LOT more.  It will be up to the 30's by Monday.

BC Day always seems to be the day I am driving home from somewhere, unloading the truck, ordering a pizza, and then sleeeeep.
