Thought you guys might be interested:

  Just so you know, there are a couple of free admissions on Tuesday July 1st. (Canada Day)

Burnaby Village Museum (11am to 4.30pm) and Richmond Park (behind Eastburn Centre - 11am to 2.30pm)

  Also Friday Night @ the Dive-in
12 to 16 yrs. Enjoy a free late-night swim, music, snacks and refreshment at Robert Burnaby Outdoor Pool this summer. Fridays. June 13 to August 15. 8.30 to 10.30pm (rain or shine)

  McPhearson Moonlight Madness. Enjoy a free late-night swim, music, snacks and refreshment at McPhearson Outdoor Pool this summer. Call 604.433.6032 Fridays July 4 to August 22 8.30 to 10.30pm (rain or shine)

  Festivals in Deer Lake Park 20th Annual Symphony in the Park: Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Presented by the City of Burnaby and Kinder Morgan Inc. Free. Sunday July 13, 7.30 to 9.30pm.

  24th Annual Discovery Day Festival. Burnaby's largest community festival for family fun and creativity. Free. Sunday July 20. 10am to 4pm.

  Wesburn Family Pinic. Setting up activities stations, filling the wading pool and roasting hot dogs. Call 604.540.5904. Weds. August 6, 5.30 to 7.30pm

Those are some good events for the summer.  I have always enjoyed the Orchestra at Deer Lake.  Excellent performances.  :)

Yuppers, free. :)  It's super busy and packed.  Vancouver Symphony Orchestra does the performances.  You don't need chairs.  You just need to listen to the music unless you want to watch them play their instruments.  You'll need something to sit on though.  We usually just have a picnic there.  I remember parking was hard to find.

umm yeah sounds like fun but lacking in details ie where in burnaby ?
